A tooth!

So finally at 8 and half months Murray seems to be sprouting his first tooth. I actually think there might be 2 coming out at the same time. Its very difficult to see them, but you can defiantly feel them coming through. He doesn't seem to be (touch wood) in too much pain/discomfort from them and is just going on for now as normal. Long may that last. You keep hearing all these horror stories about teething, but then I read a very sensible piece about teething and that all the "teething symptoms" are just normal baby things as apposed to teething, so lets see. So far so good.

He is still not crawling, but is getting more and more mobile every day. We had to lower the cot because he was trying to pull himself up and so now he is much lower down and can't get out ;)

Murray is 8 months old!

I can't believe that in 4 months time I will have a 1 year old! Crazy how time flies! At the same time, I can't wait to see Murray cruising around the house and on the other hand I don't want me precious baby to grow up! He is so close to crawling now... too cute!

I have been going to Moms and Babes every week for the past couple of weeks and it has been really nice to meet new moms and new babes! So cute. Check out this picture of the babes doing "messy play" with pasta, baby cereal and jelly, Murray loved it the most and was SO dirty!

I would also like to report that I went to Lol's hens last weekend and left Murray in the capable hands of Shane all weekend. It just would have been crazy to take Murray all the way to Tzaneen with me! It was actually great to get away and have some much needed sleep and also to have a bit of a jol with my sisters! What fun, I can't wait for the wedding next month! It was just great being at home too!

On a more serious note... Murray is not sleeping so well at night these days and in effect we have one very tired mom and dad at the moment. Trying to figure out what to do and just can't bring myself to "sleep train" my child in the "cry-it-out" method that everyone talks about. I just know that Murray will scream for hours and I just can't do that to my child. I would rather wake up every night. So I am trying to find a middle ground... watch this space for more. Until then... from a cross-eyed-mom!

But other than that, Murray is just super cute at the moment. Laughs alot, eats like a king, and is generally a very happy little chap!

Till next time!
