Nearly 10 weeks!!

So we went for our 2nd scan on Tuesday the 21st of December. Baba has grown so much since we went last time. He/she is about 2.5cm tall now! So sweet and we even saw him kick!

I also discovered this week that its my vitamins that I am taking that is making me feel sick, so I am going to take them in the evening from now on. So far so good!

Oh the farm in the Karoo with the Newtons for Christmas. So relaxing here... think baby is happy too that mommy is happy and relaxed!

Okay, so I lied yesterday. I was sick for the first time today and I certainly hope its my last!!!! I was totally fine afterward but just feel yukkie now!

8 weeks 3 days

Nothing really to report on. Really looking forward to our next scan which is next week Tuesday the 21st! Its meant to be our 10 week scan, but we are going to the Karoo for Christmas so we won't be here.

I have been feeling slightly nauseous, but it only lasts for a bit and seems to be gone by the afternoon/evening. PRAYING it doesn't get worse than this!

First scan - 7 weeks

So we went for our first scan on Friday the 3rd of December! We were very nervous, but all seems good on the scan and the Dr seems happy with the progress! Here is a little sneak preview. We are going again on the 21st of December and we will get a better idea of exactly how many weeks we are and when the due date is.

I had a lovely weekend in Durban with my sisters and they were so excited about our news! I also got to see dad on the Sunday night, so was great to be able to share the news with him too!

Now to share the news with the Newton side of the family! We were going to wait until we go the farm, but we are not 100% sure we can wait that long!

1 more sleep till I go for my first scan - 8.30 tomorrow am and then I fly to Durban and finally get to tell my sisters!!!! WHOOAAAA!!!!

So its been just over a week since we found out that we are pregnant! I think I am going to be 6 weeks on Saturday! We are going for our first checkup on Friday the 3rd of December. I moved my appointment forward. Can't wait anymore!

Its quite fun having a secret just between Shane and I, but I must say I can't wait until everyone knows. Will have to be in about 2 or 3 weeks time though. Want to wait as long as possible!

Oh and feeling fine! A little tired, but nothing too bad!

So I had a very strong feeling today that I was pregnant. I called Shane from work and asked him to please stop at a chemist to buy a pregnancy test. He bought 2. I took the test. Waited 5 minutes as per the instructions and BAM! A double line appeared. We were really shocked and surprised! Not expecting it at all! But super excited!

I decided to take another test tomorrow. Woke up at 4.22am and couldn't go back to sleep. Took the another test. Again a double line! Had a blood test at 12pm and at 2.30 my Doctor called and said, yip you are defiantly pregnant my girl! EEEK! I called my mom to tell her. We are not telling anyone (expect family members in a few weeks time) until after the 8 week scan. We see our friends so often and if I am not glued to my glass of wine, people will know!

So, first scan/appointment is on the 7th of December. I think I am about 5 weeks pregnant now. But that might change.

I feel fine, maybe a little tired, but fine for now. Hope it stays that way!

We really are very excited. Oh and at this stage, we don't want to find out the sex!
